November 9th and 10th Alnwick Gathering

The festival includes a vast array of competitions including crafts, performance and writing. Events of local interest have been added to the programme of concerts, singarounds, barn dance, storytelling. theatre and street performance which includes a young people's pageant as part of the Border Cavalcade. The emphasis of the Gathering is firmly upon the native traditions of Northumberland and an attempt to maintain and spread the time-honoured distinctive and worthwhile features of Northumberland and its heritage.

Just a few minutes drive North of Rothbury, the 300 year old Family run Guest house offers guests’ a warm and friendly welcome.Scenic, Rural, peaceful, tranquil, these are some of the words which can describe the area where our Guest House is situated in Northumberland.

Updated to offer all the modern comforts, the house still retains its’ original character and this is reflected in the rooms. Colour co-ordinated with en suite facilities, each room has a colour TV with DVD or VCR, a well stocked hospitality tray, personal toiletries, bathrobe and slippers. A mini fridge is also available in each room.

There is a separate Guests’ lounge with plenty of reading material and big comfy chairs to relax in. Sky Television is available in Lounge and rooms

Our hearty breakfast is served in our Hill View Dining Room

Our Evening Meals are served in the Red Velvet Dining Room. Here you can enjoy a 2 course meal from £12.50 per person

Surrounding the house is our large garden and Patio with a covered Pavilion, tables, chairs and loungers to enjoy the sun or the warm summer evenings.

Deposits are non refundable if cancelled within 72 hours of expected arrival time or the booking is not fulfilled.

			Cancellation Policy A booking date and agreed price is confirmed on receipt of deposit. Deposits may not be refunded in the event of cancellation and when short notice or no notice of cancellation is given, the full cost may be charged Multiple Rooms for multiple weeks Deposit non refundable and at least 6 weeks notice of any cancellation should be given or full booking costs become due, especially during Peak Season.
