	JESS 1993 - 2006 It is a Year since we lost you and still miss you so, but smile now at the memories of the times we shared together, remembering so many precious moments, tears still filling sad eyes. Sleep in Peace beloved boy. Our beloved boy passed away suddenly at 7am on 6th October 2006 We were blessed when we got him and were been grateful for every minute of his life. Jess welcomed all our guests on arrival, especially the small children, and enjoyed their company immensely. He showed us all how to behave. He was always courteous, kind and considerate. Guests' would often bring him 'treats'. Jess was never a treat or biscuit lover, but he would accept the treat and take it out of sight. Often we were asked where he was going, to which we answered, to eat it privately. In fact, he used to drop it in the cats' biscuit bowl, he wouldn't have dreamt of upsetting or offending anyone. The only person from whom he would accept a chew, was our friend John, whom he adored. He knew when he was approaching the house and starting barking and yelping before he had reached the door. He also adored our children and grand-daughters. He took on the responsibility for the girls from them being born, lying beside cots and prams, constantly watching for any harm. Our baby rabbits were also afforded his kindly protection as well as the abandoned kittens we took in, now 8 yrs old, Tinky being his constant companion and who can't understand where her friend has gone. He made friends with Guests from all over the world, when they left, a photograph was always taken of him and in e mails, he is always mentioned and enquired after. His sudden passing has left us lost and heart broken and he will be missed always. Bob and I have cried over the loss of this wonderful dog, who gave us nothing but love and devotion. he was a friend, companion and a special member of our family.
